NYS recently announced the updated NY Paid Family Leave employee contribution rate and benefit provisions for the upcoming 2020 calendar year.

Details of these updates are outlined below and will be effective 1/1/2020. 

• The maximum contribution rate will be .27% of employee’s gross annualized wage, up to $72,860.84
• The maximum contribution will be $196.72
• The maximum benefit duration will remain at 10 weeks
• The maximum benefit amount will be $840.70 per week (60% of employee’s Average Weekly Wage capped at 60% of NYS’s Average Weekly Wage)
