The Eighth District Dental Society has a handful of "approved study clubs". What does that mean? It just means that these study clubs have met our requirements in order for Eighth District Dental Society to co-sponsor continuing education courses for these study clubs.

This Dental Congress Meeting was created by Dr. Sebastian Ciancio over 40 years ago and recently ended in 2024.  The 8th District, at the request of the family, decided to reimagine this event and created a program for June 2026.

The two day program, beginning at 8:30am on Thursday, June 18th, will feature two concurrent sessions at 9:30am for both dentists and practice staff, and beginning at 1:30pm after lunch.  Friday morning, June 19th, the program will conclude with one concurrent session for each specialty with a combined CE total of 9 hours.

Featured speakers include Dr. David Rice, Dr. Marcelo Araujo, Dean UBSDM, on Thursday and Dr. Ankur Gupta, on Friday.

For dental staff, featured speakers will be Colleen Huff, Marlyce James on Thursday, and Elizabeth Dooher Anthony on Friday morning.  The dental meeting will conclude at 12pm on Friday, which is the Juneteenth Holiday.
