A Multidisciplinary Approach to Oral Cancer
Presented by ECMC & Great Lakes Cancer Care
This all-day symposium will provide dental and medical professionals with insight into the multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of head and neck and oral cancer patient, including the management of treatment sequelae and complications. Presentations will be made by members of the ECMC/Great Lakes Cancer Care Head and Neck/Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery service, Medical and Radiation Oncology services, Speech and Swallowing Therapy, and Clinical Psychology teams. The dental perspective necessary to collaborate with these practitioners will be presented by the Department of Oral Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthetics team. The format of this program centers around case presentations and multidisciplinary conferences, rather than the traditional lecture series.
