Pediatric Residency Program Director

The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time Program Director of the CODA-accredited Advanced Education Program in Pediatric and Community Dentistry. An opportunity exists for a clinical track position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank depending on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will also receive compensation for the residency director role.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Program administration
  • Didactic and clinical teaching to postgraduate residents and predoctoral students
  • Development of scholarly activities
  • The successful candidate may participate in the faculty practice

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • D.D.S., D.M.D., or equivalent degree
  • Graduate of a CODA-accredited Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry
  • Board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
  • 2 or more years of experience teaching postgraduate residents
  • A record of scholarly activity

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eligible for licensure in New York State
  • M.S. or Ph.D.
  • Prior leadership in postgraduate programs such as course director or lecturer for predoctoral and postdoctoral students
  • Participation in national and international professional and scientific organizations
  • Certification in sedation and has experience teaching sedation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
